are the Rich Client Platform based on Eclipse engine that left permanently around August ... and then the Web Application that run through the browser: and of these there are three types:
- java web application: file.war are using the platform and Java Web Start
- XUL and derivatives .. . now in my view, very promising + and other framework based on the mozilla
- new born, like GMail using a kind of good hacking technologies already 'available ...
