Luprolex Side Effects

OT: a little 'news ...

So here is a bit 'odd news:

That' s a study on time average resistance of a PC connected to the Internet to be compromised and attacked: The interesting thing 'that have been tried both Windows and Mac platforms that Linux ...
The sad thing is' that of all the distributions have taken the Linspire .. mah
The cool thing is, however, 'were the attacks on WINXP SP1 ... and these are the results: While
Attempted break-ins never Ceased, successful compromises Were limited to nine instances on the minimally protected Windows XP computer and a single break-in of the Windows Small Business Server. Were there no successful compromises of the Macintosh, the Linspire or the two Windows XPs using firewalls.
UPDATE: For more information on this news in Italian here is a nice summary report on ZeusNews:
-> http://www.zeusnews.it/index.php3?ar=stampa&cod=3573
Four minutes online enough to infect a PC. The design and marketing company in California Avantgarde and popular newspaper USA Today instructed the famous Kevin Mitnick and Ryan Russell computer to connect to the Internet for two weeks, six of the most common computing platforms, in standard configuration set by the manufacturer to see which would better resist the wave of attacks that silently affects every computer connected to the Net ...
...
And speaking of security, a large fine article detailed how and why 'a can' be safe: planning and design in the first place ... and see if there 's a nice comparison between Win and Linux)
and then there' s also this:
Finally, we Also includes a brief overview of relevant conceptual Differences Between Windows and Linux, to offer an insight into why Windows Tends To Be More Vulnerable to attacks at Both server and desktop, and why Linux is inherently more secure.

Draft Community historiography: taken from the site ...

This project stems from the desire to tell their stories, intended as a tool to understand and know the past through the words and stories of the past that those who lived it firsthand.

twenty years in this part of cyberspace and Italian 'crossed by millions of bits: electronic signals that convey information and data. Besides these electronic signals developed a myriad of experiences that have made their digital raison d'etre, making use and abuse.

This reinterpretation of semantic technology has always walked on two deeply connected roads: one is the production of self and other infrastructure to create a culture of information and "other."

The term "counter" would indicate precisely this body of knowledge, values, experiences and practices of software that comes from conscious and critical use of computers and what 'their surroundings, outside of special logic of the market, against all attempts to control and censorship of information, according to an extensive exchange of knowledge and uncontrollable. This wiki

tells the story of these reality 'through the voice of the same people that have driven over the years, and' draft history community where everyone can 'add an entry to the overview and tell their story : no more 'no less. In my opinion a great
good initiative, but to break the curtain of disinformation and into computer hacking, and especially here in Italy ...

a wiki on all Italian Ubuntu, one of the best distro I've ever used and I'm still using ...
among other things, they will write a short 'a little review ...

How Do I Know When Verruca Gone

Suggestions for Web Application ...

'a bit' of time keeping an eye on how they are going or how they will be applications of the future ... and indeed around the net there is' a lot of movement in this regard ..
are the Rich Client Platform based on Eclipse engine that left permanently around August ... and then the Web Application that run through the browser: and of these there are three types:
  • java web application: file.war are using the platform and Java Web Start
  • XUL and derivatives .. . now in my view, very promising + and other framework based on the mozilla
  • new born, like GMail using a kind of good hacking technologies already 'available ...
  • using Flash and XML Web Service with a pinch of
For GMail here is an interesting article on its API:

Wedding Welcome Bag Examples

Some updates ...

It 'a lot that I do not write anything, but the reasons are technical and are mainly +.
In the sense that the engine of LiveJournal and 'too prescriptive and + does not allow me to save the db of posts ...
in + wordpress seems to me much better and gives you 'the freedom' can ...
Today I found a free hosting for wordpress alas' still does not let save the internal db.
According to them, and 'only a matter of time. The idea

'have platforms for publishing under your direct control, and that really allows the fact of
" write once, read everywhere "

ie 'that the info is written then recovered and transformed into what you want ... and we say' a little 'what was said even in the previous post ...

soon as I 'did a decent minimum the new blog waiting to have a domain where all my experience, the web goes on and very well:)

The new web-conference "Web 2.0" revealed that c' and 'a new impetus to the world of the web: on the one hand search engines + more innovative and a host of other new releases that include the semantic web technologies than ever before ... there is' leaven in the Net :)

Getting Dog Hair Off Of North Face

Some considerations ...

more a person goes into the vision of the Semantic Web and related technologies, the greater the fascination that ... still gets some technicians in our industry look with a mixture of skepticism and disbelief on semantic technologies, although many years that scientists and many companies are investing in these areas.

A very interesting thing I've heard and seen in a video of a speech at a conference organized by the W3C:
-> link internal http://www.w3c.it -
by an employee of the research center HP in Bristol each year are invested millions of dollars on these technologies, substantial investment, no?
In reality very few projects see the light and use outside the field of research is rare (though Jena and other fruit they are, what we do without?), But we continue to invest ...
The idea is that the risks are still small compared to any successful markets are expected to crazy numbers, such as to merit so much attention ...

My own impression is that we can not do without: and so also said the inventor of all this .. the father of the Web. And even better to understand his point of view, I ordered one of his essays that tells the past and the future Web: Weaving the Web ...
-> http://www.ita-bol.com/bol/main.jsp?action=engscheda&ean=978158799018 #
just arrived and read him throw down a review.
So before we are aware of what is happening and how we can improve both the web is the way of thinking about applications, the better for all ...
I am an optimist ...
The potential is immense ... :)

Cervix Closed 2 Days Before Period

Blind people and elephant ...

This is a story ... Six blind people
Were asked to identify what looked like an elephant from touch. One felt the Tusk and thought the elephant Was like a spear; Another felt the trunk thought the elephant and Was like a snake; Another felt a leg and thought Was the elephant like a tree, and so on, basing Each His definition of an elephant on His Unique Experiences.

course all this makes sense ... it 's taken from the book "Practical RDF" - http://rdf.burningbird.net/ : I would say a great book that provides a fairly practical and comprehensive' RDF universe ... I found it very interesting, though to be fully understood, the reader should already have a smattering of both the basic Semantic Web RDF.

The elephant is RDF, and we are blind people ... this is to say what is difficult to define unambiguously and global one thing that all those who use it use different aspects:)

That 's the review for Slashdot:
-> http://books.slashdot.org/books/03/09/18/0410238.shtml?tid=126&tid=188&tid=192&tid=95

Respiration Of Mammal Vs. Reptile

Wordpress: a platform exciting:) Still on

It' been a while that I'm testing This open-source platform for blogging and not only and I must say that it is absolutely fantastic!
The official site is very well done and very clear - http://www.wordpress.org - and explanations must be comprehensive:)
was using it as a diary here on my LAN to get Local an automatic way to take notes and thoughts about everything ... and it is these days I switched from 1.0.2 to 1.2, even making the upgrade of the database ..
no problem and very easy to do ...
The interesting thing is that you can 'do just about anything, even use it as a CMS ...
this link -> http://wordlog.com/ you can find everything ...
...
providing free space that platform but 'it is hard to find ...
I found two that are now offline, but that will soon be available:
Both unfortunately are based on the Google ads ... but 'will definitely be worth a try:)

One thing, I forgot: Wordpress uses several technologies related to semantic web and more ... ... trackback
not for nothing, and 'establishment of a platform "semantics")
the author's website to look more of a volume very well done ... "Practical RDF" from O'Reilly ..
the link is: http://weblog.burningbird.net/ - the blog while the book is: http://rdf.burningbird.net/ ...
version of WordPress that uses has been modified with the addition of the RDF vocabulary that she created: the POSTCON ... intended to keep track of changes to URI resources, creating a history of the passages and causes of such movements
-> http://rdf.burningbird.net/archives/2003/11/postcon-generating -the-RDFXML-files /

.. among other things, unable to import in a completely transparent by Movable Type and LiveJournal that ... although I have not tested directly.

When Does Cake Expire

coding: a look at Jena2

Since the most recent posts have focused on coding issues, I would say something about the new (almost a year:)) version of the HP Jena framework, version 2.1.
I had watched the old version and I was upgraded to the new, e uno dei cambiamenti che mi ha colpito e' proprio a causa della codifica.
http://jena.sourceforge.net/IO/iohowto.html

E' interessante vedere quanto segue:

"What when wrong with character encoding?

The java.io.* classes based around Reader's and Writer's are intended to help us avoid encoding problems. The encoding attribute in the XML declaration at the top of an XML document is intended to help us avoid encoding problems. Unfortunately, these are two different approaches; and Jena1 went with the Java conventions, whereas the Web scalable conventions are those used by XML.

The Java approach is that the machine on which the Java is running has some default encoding. I/O done with FileReader's and PrintWriter's etc, then is done using that encoding, unless there is a specific user instruction when the Reader or Writer is created. It is not possible to change the encoding used by a Reader or Writer while it is being used.

The XML approach is that XML documents are in UTF-8 or UTF-16 unless they say otherwise in the first line of the document (this first line is sufficiently restricted to make it possible to read it without knowing the encoding). Hence, an XML reader should start by looking at the first few bytes and work out from those whether it is UTF-8 UTF-16 or some other encoding as declared in the first line. From then on, it uses that encoding.

E qui c'e' il passo più important

The Java approach is designed for ease of use on a single machine, Which uses a single encoding; Often Being a one-byte encoding, eg for European languages Which do not need Thousands of different characters.

The XML approach is designed for the Web Which uses multiple encodings, and Some of Them requiring Thousands of characters. "

In practice, the dilemma and now 'solved: just different targets suitable for different purposes.

How Much Is Charzard Card Worth

XML: a failure? Not for everyone ...

the previous post another member of the O'Reilly Network wanted to contribute and take up the defense of XML, or at least to criticize and refute some of the allegations of the Article.
The link 'this: http://www.oreillynet.com / pub/wlg/5231
In practice, the problem of mis-configuration of servers and clients is part of a school of thought say so '"transformation" is not too hard ... basically the approach to syntax errors in Internet Explorer web pages .. a merger eun'accozzaglia crazy ...
dell'encoding The problem is noted, but the most interesting and the final part ...

"A second step ... Could possibly be to stop kidding Ourselves That XML is" just text "and drop the text / xml MIME type Altogether, using only the application / * and image / * ones. That'll teach Those gung-ho transcoding proxies to behave.

Update! Right in the nick of time, It Would Seem That Murata / Kohn / Lilley haves produced an Internet Draft obsoleting 3023:) The list of changes is as yet uncomplete, But One Should Already help: text / xml and text / xml-external-parsed-entity are deprecated. I highly recommend reading the text in section 3 justifies this That if you are interested in this topic. "Just yesterday the site
